English transcript:
School consolidation
As Summit School District looks at consolidation to combat declining enrollment and growing operational costs, parents, staff and county residents are invited to participate in local meetings and submit feedback before the Board of Education makes any formal recommendations on building closures. Superintendent Tony Byrd said during a recent town hall that a poll will be sent out soon to community members to assess what they support.
Bomb threat investigation
The Breckenridge Police Department’s investigation into an April 6 bomb threat is ongoing. An anonymous call reported the threat for South Main Street at 1:38 p.m. April 6 and officers were on scene within four minutes. The evacuation order was then issued at 1:49 p.m. before being canceled at 2:05 p.m. The department said it had issued the evacuation order “out of an abundance of caution,” adding that emergency notifications are the “most effective” way to ensure members of the public receive timely information about potential threats.

Located at the college’s Leadville campus, the five-day First Ascent Youth Leadership program runs from June 21-26 and is open to in-district students who will enter eighth or ninth grades this fall.
